To provide you with better care and in compliance with government regulations, we have implemented electronic health records referred as “EHR”. This will enhance your health care as we follow clinical bench marks and quality improvement measures. By measures we mean the objective documentation of the progress of many acute and chronic conditions as well as preventative tools to improve your overall health.
The EHR will allow us to communicate better with your pharmacy, insurance provider and other health care team members to accomplish the treatment goals. We will send electronic prescriptions to your pharmacy during your visit and refill your medications as the need arise. Faxes and paper prescriptions will not be issued, except for some specific medications not approved to be authorized electronically by the DEA.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding during this lengthy transition as we entered your past medical history in your permanent electronic health record. Please help us by updating your pharmacy information and bringing your medications to your office visit for proper entry into your file. We will ask you for your e-mail account as we will share in the near future your electronic medical record.
